Wrestlers to Watch

    Alex Dieringer, sophomore, Port Washington: Good friend of Jesse Thielke’s, Dieringer finished year at 45-0 and won the D1 103-pound title last year. Ranked nationally, Dieringer should be at 119 late in the year.


     Derek Olson, junior, Muskego: Two-time state qualifier finished second at 130 in D1 last year with a record of 44-4. Top junior in the area.



     Jake Sueflohn, sophomore, Arrowhead: Finished third at 119 in D1 after compiling 48-4 record.


     James Clark, senior, Arrowhead: Two-time state qualifier and two-time semifinalist, Clark finished fourth at year ago at 125 with a record of 41-4.


     Jordan Hauerwas, senior, Oak Creek: Two-time state qualifier finished 29-10 a year ago.


     Kyle Wey, junior, Oak Creek: Two-time state qualifier finished 25-5 a year ago.


     Dwayne Hale, senior, Milwaukee Custer: Three-time state qualifier and three-time City Conference champion, Hale finished third at 152 in D1 last year with a record of 34-3.


     David Phillips, senior, Pewaukee: Two-time state qualifier finished third in D2 at 145 with a record of 48-5.


     Josh Mohr, senior, Pewaukee: Two-time state qualifier finished third in D2 at 189 with record of 41-11.


     Zach Mommaerts, junior, Oconomowoc: Two-time Wisconsin Little Ten Conference champion finished fifth at 103 in D1 last year.


     Zach Sines, senior, Brookfield East: Three-time state qualifier and Greater Metro Conference champion, Sines finished with a 49-4 record last year.


     Nick Broadway, senior, Hartford: Finished fourth at 189 in D1 with a record of 44-6.


     Glen Kendl, senior, Wauwatosa: Only returning  285-pounder in area to win a match at state last year. Kendl didn’t place and finished with a 42-5 record with 26 pins.
